Music in the Mountains (MIM), founded in 1982, is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire and connect people of all ages through extraordinary musical performances, community engagement and music education. MIM is community-based and community-supported. A Platinum-Star-Rated 501(c)3 non-profit organization, MIM has been performing and producing classical music in Nevada County for more than forty years.

The Music in the Mountains Chorus is an auditioned community choir known for its high standards and community spirit.
