The many genres of Brazilian popular music have become immensely popular around the world. From the boisterous rhythms of samba to the cool elegance of bossa nova and the complex jazz improvisations of choro, it’s some of the most exotic and interesting music you’ll find anywhere. MIM’s principal flutist, Jane Lenoir, heads this unique ensemble, which features guest guitarist Ricardo Peixoto. And one thing’s for sure: this is one concert where you won’t be sitting in your seat for long. Local dancers will show you some very cool moves, which you can bring to the dance floor to keep the party going.
