Lynn Schugren, Piano

“Made in America” features concert pianist and pedagogue, Lynn Schugren, performing a piano recital of all American piano music on Sunday, Nov 12, 2:00 p.m at St. Joseph’s Cultural Center.

This program is a tour de force for piano. Schugren will be performing: Bruce Nalezny’s Poeme and Finale (1988), Mariam Gideon’s Of Shadows Numberless (1987), Samuel Barber’s Sonata (1950) and Mark Vance’s Points in Time (2017), a new work Schugren commissioned. This performance will be a world premiere of Vance’s new work.

This concert will benefit Music in the Mountains’ flagship education program, Young Composers Project. YCP is looking to expand the curriculum to include composing for Film, TV and Games and looks to purchase needed hardware and software to set up multiple digital audio work stations (DAWs).

Schugren is a member of MIM’s Education Taskforce and a strong supporter of MIM’s Young Composer Project consulting with students and performing their new compositions.

Tickets available at the door.
