Beethoven’s Ninth

Sunday, June 30 – 3:00 pm Matinee

The Ninth is Beethoven’s monumental masterpiece. More than any other musical work it has become an international symbol of unity and affirmation. Which is why, of all the music ever written, it was chosen in 1989 to celebrate the fall of the Berlin Wall. This amazing piece takes you on an incredible journey – from darkness to light, from mysterious to manic – leaving you with the breathtaking Ode to Joy, Schiller’s optimistic expression of unity and love for all humanity. What a ride.

Join us as Gregory Vajda and the brilliant MIM Festival Orchestra and Chorus team up with four great soloists to perform this unforgettable classic.
