ABOUT OUR SCHOLARSHIPSLucy Becker

The Lucy Becker Memorial Scholarship honors the memory of a wonderful soprano (pictured right) who contributed her vocal talents to our community through solo and choral performances over many years. This talent-based scholarship is designed to encourage dedicated vocal students to continue their studies.

The Lucy Becker Memorial Scholarship is awarded in spring each year. The winner receives $1,500 toward continuing their vocal endeavors, and has the opportunity to perform during MIM’s SummerFest.

The Jean Brook Dunning Award goes to the “most outstanding performance” during the Young Musicians Showcase Concert. This concert takes place each spring as the conclusion to the Young Musicians Competition, which also awards cash prizes to winners.

Other awards include the Donner Mine Music Camp Scholarships.

Donations to our scholarship funds are a great way to support our education programs. It is only through the generosity of our community that we are able to keep offering these valuable opportunities for young people. Support MIM and donate today.
